Artist Statement
I look for value, composition and simplicity in my paintings. The power of painting is in the execution -- subject matter is a secondary concern. I believe that both sides of the brain come into play for an artist to be successful: technical and creative aspects of the painting are both essential in developing an emotional response in the observer.
